Srebrenica lies close to the hearts of many Bosnians after a massacre killed more than 8,000 men and boys in July 1995. Srebrenica was Europe’s largest mass murder since the Holocaust. Bosniaks visit to mourn and pay their respects. The event marks an important part of Bosnia’s history and should never be forgotten. Visitors can head to The Srebrenica-Potocari Genocide Memorial and Cemetery a few kilometres from the village in Potocari.

Jajce was once the seat of some of Bosnia’s medieval kings, and the remains of their castle are still in a good condition today. Jajce fortress was first built around the mid-14th century, although over the years many alterations and additions have been made. The central castle is located on top of a hill overlooking the city, and within the town there a various parts of old fortified wall as well as gates.

Bihac is a charming little town centered on the banks of the Una River. The town is teeming with café’s that inevitably gravitate around the beautiful Una. It is more than worth a visit to Bihac or any of the towns that live off these emerald waters.
